Brief on Sharing and Learning on Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Movement in Myanmar

The meeting on Sharing and Learning on Indigenous Peoples’ Rights movement in Myanmar was held at Hotel Pavilion, Yangon on 26th May, 2017.

This network meeting is held for the organizations that are currently working for the Indigenous affairs to negotiate each other opinions and work, and to set better strategies for future.

The participants attended at the meeting were from twelve organizations who are struggling for Indigenous Peoples’ rights, peace, land tenure, environment, and so on. They all are representatives of the regions from Mon, Magway, Kayar, Kachin, Rakhine, Shan, Kayin, Naga and Yangon.  They mainly shared the brief history of their organization and also gave some information that they are currently working for Indigenous Peoples in Myanmar.
