The Draft National REDD+ Strategy (NRS) for Myanmar has been prepared through a process overseen by a broad-based “Technical Working Group”. The process began with an analysis of drivers of deforestation and forest degradation. This led to the identification of an initial set of “policies and measures”. A number of consultations have been held on the policies and measures, and more broadly on the strategy itself, including with concerned ministries and stakeholders in each state/region (still on-going). To allow for even broader inputs, the draft strategy will be available for public comments on Myanmar REDD+ programme website up to April 30th 2018.
In this regard, we would like to encourage you to review this Draft NRS document and give your specific comments under each section (highlighting 3 important things: line number, page number and your suggestions).
